A bit about us
Here at Buchanan Family Pecan Farm, we have been in the pecan business in one way or another for over 100 years. From great-grandparents thrashing pecan trees and picking up pecans by hand in the field to utilizing the latest technology with tractors, shakers, and harvesters on our farm, we have years of combined experience.
Meet the Pecan Whisperer
Carl Buchanan started his pecan business in 1979. For many years, he used his tractors, shakers, and harvesters to harvest several orchards around the Southern Oklahoma area. He is skilled in regenerative farming, Improved tree farming, Native tree farming, and more. We call him The Pecan Whisperer because he knows all things pecan!

Carl and Mary Buchanan have had a family run pecan business since 1979, and they have harvested thousands of trees and pecans. Carl Buchanan started planting the BFPF orchard with improved trees in 2013, and we installed our custom irrigation system in 2015, which was designed by Carl and installed by family and friends. We are a working farm, and the oldest trees planted started producing 5 years ago. With over 2,000 trees and 3 varieties, there is a pecan for everyone to enjoy!
